Immunizations for Daycare

Under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Lakelands Public Health helps ensure children in daycare are fully immunized.

How it works:

  • Parents give immunization records to daycare staff during registration.
  • Daycare staff send copies of immunization records to Lakelands Public Health.
  • Every year the immunization records are reviewed for all children in daycare.
  • Letters are sent home to parents if immunizations are missing from records.
  • Parents inform daycare staff know when their child gets a new vaccine.
