Are you planning to start a family, recently welcomed a new addition, or already navigating the journey of parenthood? While being a parent or guardian is incredibly rewarding, it doesn't come with a manual. That's where Lakelands Public Health steps in. Our dedicated team is here to offer guidance and support tailored to every stage of your child's development, ensuring the well-being of both you and your family.

Building Resilience with Your Child
Resilience is staying healthy through challenges with support. It's influenced by things like genes, relationships, experiences, and our environment. The early years play a crucial role in shaping children's health. Safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments support children's healthy growth and development, grow their confidence and build resilience.

  • Safe environments free of toxic stress are essential to promote independence and a feeling of security. A calm environment can make it easier to connect.
  • Stability helps children know what to expect, helping to grow attachment and trust with their parents and caregivers.
  • Love, care, and sharing positive experiences create a sense of belonging and support children in reaching their full potential!

Dear

When you first had your baby, we either spoke to you or sent you a letter about our infant feeding survey that will help us to improve services for mothers and babies in your area. At the time we spoke to you, you agreed to participate and provided us with your email address so that we could email you the link to the survey. If you received only our letter and did not call to decline your participation in the survey, then we assumed that you wish to participate and would like to thank you.

Just as a reminder, participation in this survey involves answering some questions about how you have been feeding your baby and some questions about you. If you agree to participate you can choose to end the survey at any time, and you can also choose to skip any question that you do not want to answer. Please be assured that if you end the survey at any stage, it will not affect the services that you receive from the Health Unit. This survey is anonymous and the answers you provide will be kept private and confidential. Your name will never be used in any reports about the results of the survey.

If you have any questions about the survey link you have received, please call 1-866-888-4577 ext. 5003
