About the Infectious Diseases Dashboard

The Infectious Diseases Dashboard presents the numbers and rates of lab-confirmed infectious diseases required to be reported to the Health Unit under the Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), also referred to as Diseases of Public Health Significance (DOPHS). These include  more than 70 diseases, from respiratory infections (e.g., COVID-19, Influenza), sexually-transmitted infections (e.g., AIDS/HIV, chlamydia), vaccine-preventable diseases (e.g., measles, pertussis) and vector-borne diseases (i.e. rabies, Lyme).

By default, the data is presented for the areas served by Lakelands Public Health but can be filtered to the County of Haliburton, the City of Kawartha Lakes, the City and County of Peterborough and Northumberland County where possible.
