Summary of Duties
Provides comprehensive accounting and procurement activities through the accurate processing of accounting transactions, coordination of purchasing activities, and related support. Ensures timely processing of requests, maintains financial data integrity, and supports efficient office operations while adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Minimum Qualifications and Position Requirements
Community College Diploma (two (2) years) in Business or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience.
Demonstrated ongoing effective ability to do the following:

- Apply initiative, tact, diplomacy, and judgement in work related and work impacted engagements/situations;
- Competent negotiation skills;
- Provide excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work performed;
- Use excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills;
- Maintain concentration and focus for extended periods in a busy, fast-paced environment with ongoing distractions and noise to successfully complete assigned tasks in a timely manner;
- Multi-task and continually organize and re-organize workload as necessary with competing priorities and demands in a dynamic environment;
- Adapt quickly and effectively to new, different, and changing requirements;
- Choose the appropriate course of action and prioritize inquiries;
- Ensure privacy and confidentiality of information including those relating to clients;
- Use MS Office programs including word, excel, SharePoint and outlook along with online tools and the internet;
- Able to learn and work effectively with automated accounting systems:
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation and policies and procedures; and
- Have access to reliable transportation.
Program Division Requirement(s)
- Perform purchasing function efficiently and accurately, ensuring completeness and proper authorization.
- Obtain quotes and negotiate fiscally responsible and suitable pricing and delivery of products and services.
- Enter accounting data in an efficient manner with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
